Need some inspiration to take your loved one out on a date? We’ve got plenty of ideas on places to go in the Christmas time! Read along to find some cute places to take your significant other out in the Christmas season.

 

Fort Langley

This traditional town has been a part of Langley ever since the 1800s. Originally it was used as an exporter of salted salmon and cedar lumber. Since Fort Langley holds a lot of history, its buildings and surroundings have been preserved as much as possible. There is plenty to do at Fort Langley, such as visit their museum on Fort Langley history, as well as historic farm equipment. They have local vendors almost every weekend with locally made gifts. Their devotion to local independent businesses makes their town have a very unique offering of food, drinks, and shops. They also have several parks if you want to go on a nature walk!

 

Williams Park

This park is known for its picturesque views of forestry and the famous salmon river. With a picnic area as well, you can rent out a picnic spot to have events at this beautiful park. For two weeks in December, Williams Park gets dressed up for Christmas with many different lights. If you’re looking for a holiday-themed free date, then Williams Park is a beautiful romantic place to go.

 

The Glow

The famous Glow Festival gets bigger and bigger every year! With many vendors, food trucks, bars, activities and Christmas lights- there’s a reason it’s so popular. Campbell Valley Regional Park

If you want a long distance walk with some sights along the way, Campbell Valley Park has 29km of hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails. There are a few attractions along the trails, such as the Nature house, the historic Langley Speedway, or Lochiel Schoolhouse. There are also a variety of trails to choose, like the Little River Loop, which does a quick loop around Campbell River with a number of bridges to take your favourite pictures. For a longer trip, the Shaggy Mane trail takes you around the perimeter of the park!
