Festina Lente Estate Winery and Meadery ????????????

best wineries in Langley BC

Not many wineries deviate from the tried and true formula of crushing grapes and letting them sit in a barrel for years. If you’re looking for a more experimental approach, Festina Lente would like to introduce you to the world of mead.

Mead has been around for centuries and has begun to resurface in the wine community. It is a combination of fermented honey, yeast, and water providing both a sweet taste and earthy undertones. If you’re curious, Theresa (aka the Queen Bee) provides both a knowledgeable and entertaining experience, taking you through the wines, mead, and honey on display. If you’re looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, Festina Lente also has honey tastings, where the beekeepers allow you to try honey fresh from the comb.
